On-Line Training Modules

On-Line Risk Assessment

The Virtual Fleet Risk Manager is an award winning research-led internet tool developed by Interactive Driving Systems.

RoadRISK is a statistically validated on-line driver risk assessment of attitude, hazard perception, behaviour, knowledge and exposure that also incorporates a full driver profile split into ‘Driver’, ‘Vehicle’, ‘Journey’ classifications.

RoadRISK is a sophisticated, but quick and simple to use, on-line tool for assessing driver attitude, hazard perception, knowledge, behaviour and personal exposure to risk for the following recruitment, management, monitoring and improvement purposes:

1. Pre-employment: part of recruitment pre-screen, interview, induction and new employee training process.

2. Current staff: to prioritise training interventions; part of the permit to drive process; for selecting instructors and assessors; to evaluate training needs and review the success of training.

3. Other uses: allocation/choice of company and hire cars, cash for car and own vehicle schemes; high employee turnover operations; risk assessments for due diligence, insurance, underwriting and vehicle hire and as part of the business development process.

One More Second

One More Second sets out on the premise that all drivers CAN DRIVE DEFENSIVELY and through an interactive, self-discovery style helps drivers conclude it is they that make the difference. Drivers are introduced to the concept of the 'attitude swing', which explores what can turn us from attentive, patient individuals into drivers with something to prove!

One More Second’s commentary style and interactive elements lead participants through the principle issues facing drivers. Multimedia presentations built into the program reinforce key elements such as the Defensive Driving System, Observation and Hazard Perception Skills in an interesting way. The program concludes with a summary of all the key skills and techniques an individual would learn on an on-road course. The outcome of the program is measured with an assessment, the results of which can be used to guide further training and development plans.

RoadSkills – Defensive Driving & Skills and Techniques

RoadSKILLS is a highly interactive defensive driving skills and techniques oriented program designed to reinforce on-road best practice performance.

The modules include video clips and photographs, taken from all over the UK, to set the scene for the various exercises.

Feedback to each exercise is in three formats:

1. Best Practice - every exercise is analysed to lead the driver through how they should be thinking and acting.
2. Safety Tips - provide general best practice guidance around the subject.
3. Did You Know - puts the subject in the context of crashes in the UK.

Four 30 minute modules make up RoadSKILLS - Town/City, Country, Motorway and General Safety.
